BOTOX® and Dysport® are injectable treatments for wrinkles that temporarily relax the muscles. Both products neurotoxins that are made from botulinum toxin A. They work almost the same. However, they are produced by different manufacturers with slightly different formulations regarding their proteins. Therefore, it’s important to work with an injector you trust to recommend the best option for you.

At your preliminary visit, you meet one of our expert Nurse Practitioners and one of our expert nurse injectors. They will review all concerns and build a customized treatment plan and goals made WITH you and just for YOU! Our nurse practitioner will go through our medical history and make sure you have no muscle or nerve conditions detrimental to Botox or Dysport. The exact treatment plan uses injectables to create a natural-looking and younger appearance.

During treatment, injections will be put directly into the muscles of concern. We use an extremely thin needle, and most clients experience only minimal discomfort. We generally use about three to five injections in each treatment area. The procedure takes about 20 minutes.

Most clients notice softening in a few days, and you can expect your BOTOX® or Dysport® injections to last 3 to 4 months, at which time you can schedule another treatment session. Although lines in the face may decrease and seemingly disappear, you will need to receive injections regularly to maintain the effects.

Side effects for these injectable treatments are usually minimal, and patients can return to their normal routines right away. There may be slight pain at the injection site or minor swelling and bruising. However, the side effects are temporary and will subside quickly. More severe complications include double vision, drooping eyelids, blurred vision, and swollen eyes. Serious side effects should be reported to one of our nurse injectors immediately. Overall, both BOTOX® and Dysport® have produced beautiful results for many women and men, and it’s one of the most popular procedures for fighting the effects of aging.

Both BOTOX® and Dysport® are safe treatments to use when injected in the proper doses by a trained professional.
